ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog Note: On last Friday evening’s telecast of ‘ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog Now’, Assembly Mental Health Committee Chair Aileen Gunther gave a very fiery interview with reporter Dan Clark where she called on Governor Andrew Cuomo to repurpose unused dollars from the state’s Economic Development fund to invest in critically needed mental health programs. She believes that, due to the impact of COVID-19, many development programs won’t be able to go forward and that those funds should be reallocated into mental health programs.
During the special 30 minute focus on mental health, MHANYS’ Glenn Liebman and the ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog State Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health’s Andrea Smyth gave excellent interviews that detailed the mental health crisis that faces ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog if long underfunded community mental health services are not able to help ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlogers during one of the most challenging periods in state history.
